Warner artists honoured at the Grammys

Several artists from the Warner Music Australia roster were honoured at the 51st annual Grammy Awards, which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday 8 February.

Hip hop sensation T.I. took out the Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group award for "Swagga Like Us", his collaboration with Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. T.I. also performed at the awards ceremony, delivering a passionate renditon of his current single "Dead And Gone" with Justin Timberlake.

UK soul diva Estelle won in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category with her track "American Boy", also featuring Kanye West.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers won the Best Long Form Music Video category with their track "Runnin' Down A Dream".

The soundtrack from the teen pregnancy comedy "Juno" won in the Best Compilation Soundtrack category, while James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer's music for "The Dark Knight" was honoured with the Best Score Soundtrack award.

Additionally, a number of Warner Music recordings were inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame: they include "I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You" by Aretha Franklin, "The Star Spangled Banner" by Jimi Hendrix, and "We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You" by Queen.

In total, Warner Music Group artists won in 16 categories. Congratulations to all the winners!
